Cleaner jobs in San Juan, Puerto Rico

Labor Online connects house cleaners in San Juan with homeowners and renters who need regular service, deep cleans, and move-in/move-out turnover. You set the rate, pick the jobs you want, and get paid weekly through Stripe.

About the role

Cleaning is the highest-volume category on Labor Online. The cleaners who joined in the first wave are booking 4–6 jobs a week, mostly within a 10-mile radius. Recurring bookings (weekly or bi-weekly) build a steady base; one-time deep cleans and move turnover fill the rest.

You bring your own supplies (or charge them as an add-on). The customer specifies the home size, number of rooms, and any add-ons (inside fridge, oven, baseboards) before you accept.

What you'll work on

  • Regular house cleaning (weekly, bi-weekly, or one-time)
  • Deep cleans — baseboards, blinds, behind appliances
  • Move-out and move-in turnover cleans
  • Post-construction cleanup (where listed)
  • Add-ons: inside fridge, oven, windows, laundry
  • Photo documentation of completed work

Qualifications

  • Reliable transportation to reach jobs across the metro area
  • Your own cleaning supplies (or willingness to charge as an add-on)
  • Smartphone with data
  • Comfortable communicating in Spanish or English
  • Clean background check
  • At least 18 years old with authorization to work in PR

Frequently asked questions

Trade-specific answers first, followed by the basics.

Yes by default, but you can mark 'supplies provided by customer' in your profile if you prefer. Many cleaners charge an add-on for supplies (around $10–$20 per job) — it shows up on the customer's invoice automatically.
Yes — Labor Online doesn't restrict who works alongside you on a job. Just be transparent in your profile if you typically work in pairs so customers know what to expect.
When a customer books a recurring clean (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly), it locks you in for the schedule. You can update your rates between jobs, decline a specific instance, or end the recurring relationship from the app.
Earnings depend on your category, the rates you set, and how many jobs you accept each week. You list the base price; what you list is what you take home. Higher-skill trades like electrical and AC tend to command higher rates than general cleaning.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe and deposited directly to your bank account within 2 business days of completing a job. No cash, no waiting, no surprises.
Absolutely. You see every task before you accept — category, location, rate, duration. You're in complete control of your schedule and the jobs you take on.
You keep 100% of your listed rate. Customers pay a platform fee on top — 15% + $3 per booking — which covers payments, support, and customer acquisition. Stripe handles the processing; nothing comes out of your pocket.
Yes — for most categories, providers bring their own tools. The job description tells you exactly what's expected, and many providers bill supplies separately to the customer.
As fast as you can complete the onboarding checklist — phone verification, ID check via Stripe Identity, Stripe Connect payouts, services and rates, availability. Once every step on the dashboard checklist is green, you can start accepting tasks. Most providers complete onboarding in 3–7 days.
